Born on 12th March, 1910, George Van Tassel was an ufologist, contactee and paranormal researcher. He was instrumental in starting the construction of the Integratron in 1958 in Landers, California.
Van Tassel spent his childhood in Jefferson, Ohio and later dropped out of high school and worked at a Cleveland Airport. He had a keen interest in flying and after getting the airport job, he soon got his pilot’s license. Reinhold O. Schmidt was born on February 16, 1897, in Kenesaw, Nebraska to German-American parents. He spent his early life in Nebraska, and later worked as a salesman and a grain buyer for a firm in Brawley, California which required him to travel to the Middle West and negotiate with grain-growing farmers in the area.
Schmidt shot to fame after he related his UFO “contactee” experience while driving through a sand bed on the Platte River near Kearney, Nebraska. He claimed to have seen an alien spaceship and met six ‘human looking aliens’, of which four were male and two female, who conversed amongst themselves in German. Read more »
